Trauma

Painful experiences can stay with the body and mind long after they are over. Healing from trauma is possible, and it happens in a safe, steady relationship, never by being pushed. We move at the pace that feels safe to you.

Reach Out

If you are in crisis right now, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. This page is not for emergencies.

What This Can Look Like

Flashbacks, intrusive memories, or nightmares

Feeling on guard, easily startled, or shut down

Avoiding reminders of what happened

Difficulty trusting or feeling safe

How We Help

Trauma is treated through our Individual Counseling using attachment-based and parts-informed approaches. EMDR and IFS are offered by a specially trained clinician on our team (not every counselor), and we will help match you appropriately. When trauma is straining your closest relationships, our Couples & Family work can support that too. Faith integration is optional. Sessions run about 45-50 minutes.

Counselors Who Help with Trauma
